Have you asked your self why you blog? What makes you write a new blog post regularly? In 2008, there were around 70 million blogs out there and now in 2010 there has to be over 100 Million of them.
I have come up with a few reasons why I think people start a blog.
Blogging for money has to be the most common reason, but some people are blogging to express their thoughts with others and some are blogging to help others, like moms who blog about cooking or share cake recipes.
Personally, I blog because I simply love to share my marketing ideas with others and I love to get feedback from the readers of my blog.Sure, I like to earn money from doing this but for me creating useful content comes first and the income will follow.

I blog as I find it very interesting. There are so many views and things on which people write about and at times new and interesting topics come forth with people contributing with all that they can.
I find this a good utilization of time and purpose.
I think an interest in the subjsect has to come first, whats the point in writing about something that you don’t enjoy?
I blog if I do have interest in a certain topic. Blogging offers a great possibility to show your own opinion and view. You can discuss with other people, share tips and suggestions, ask questions and defend your own opinion. Strictly speaking there are so many things on which people write about and sometimes you do have the need to join the discussion – either because of the fact that you are of the same opinion or because you have a different view and want to justify it.
For me blogging represents a very goog utilization of purpose.
Blogging is more me just like writing a diary. I do have my own blog which does not focus a special topic. So I do write about those things that are interesting for me and might it also be for other people. For me blogging represents a good utilization of time and purpose.
I blog as a way to give back. Of course, theres the other side of me thats also looking for a small side income, but making really good money on a blog takes a lot of work and a lot of time. Expecting to make a full time salary is very ambitious and requires a lot of business know-how and planning. Right now I blog because I’ve learned so much from other blogs and wanted to give back in my own way. I also find so much cool stuff around the internet and learn something new everyday, so I want a way to share that, beyond just social networking.
