The other day I was pressed for time while on my way to work so I stopped at a local Mc Donalds for a bite to eat. This was at 2PM in the afternoon. As I sat in the parking lot and ate watched a continous stream of traffic going thru the drive thru window. Nonstop! I could help but think “My Lord! What a goldmine!” You figure the average order is between $5 - $10 dollars each nonstop! It reminded me of what article marketing has done for my business.

I started my home business a little over a year ago. I went thru the newbie struggles as most do in the beginning. I was finally introduced to a man named Travis who had a technique called the “bum marketing method”. One of it´s strong points is article marketing to get you placed high with certain search phrases with the major search engines. Using this method, I began to write articles about my website and work from home opportunities available on it. Within a month I began to see my articles listed on the front page under my selected search phrases and traffic to my site doubled.

Google has favorite article sites that they continuously monitor for “keyword rich” articles. Relevance is priority 1 with Google. If you write an article and put a link in it for reference and it holds your specific keywords, they will blast you to front pages. They do however have their “pet article sites”. These sites include Go Articles, Ezine Articles, Article Dashboard and a few more. My personal favorites which they pick up in a heartbeat are Idea Marketers (www.ideamarketers.com) , Article Alley(www.articlealley.com) and The Home Business Archive (www.tlmarketing.net)

Tom Lindstrom has an awesome site and if he likes your material will even give you, what he calls “social love”.Article marketing is by far the most effective way to promote your business or product available on the internet today. Granted PPC is also very effective but can also be very costly if you´re bidding on popular keywords.
