Social media can really make a lot of difference in one’s marketing, one thing that is important to mention is time. For me personally I can not keep my own sites updated, while also adding quality content to multiple social sites.

Thus, I decided I would do video and I have focused on youtube.com

I like the fact that youtube.com and videos can be leverage not only on social sites such as youtube.com but can also be used on my own personal sites.

Best,
Brian J

Social marketing has become one of the most important aspects for marketing any online business. Even still in its infancy stage social media marketing has already played a vital role in many growing businesses. Social media marketing is not a straight forward approach.

I am building a ppc list with my relationship site. So facebook and twitter are natural follow-ons… I’m such a rookie here. Thanks for the videos – they are giving me insights as to what the process should look and feel like.

This sure is involved. Is there a better way to automate it? ie are there plugins that can automate twitter and tumblr posts and rss feeds, that you’d recommend? I can’t keep up with all the stuff! Plus, I was curious to know if anyone is using trafic-bug… thanks

I agree that social media can help you. With the help of my mom, I was able to create accounts on Facebook and Twitter. Now, I have almost 2000 followers on Twitter! However, I do add people that I don’t really know. I look at groups and fan pages to look for like-minded people. But I do send a message first on why I’m adding them. My mom also set up a blog for me. So I guess we just have to convert!

I firmly believe that direct sales (cold and warm calling) are terrific ways to reach people. They are free and time after time I’m able to generate sales this way. I would augment any marketing with 5-10 calls per day to people introducing yourself. Make a note of who is potentially interested and continue to follow up with them.
