Business For Retired People

by Tom on December 18, 2007

What is the best business for retired people? Well, I have been working on the Internet since 2001 and still learn new things everyday and see no reason why retired people could not get into online marketing and selling stuff on the Internet as well.

It is just like any other business, only it is online.Lots of retired people have a small pension and would need some extra income, or just looking to have something to do during the day.

You do not have to be a computer genius in order to have an online business, in some cases you do not even need to have your own website or blog with hosting and all that comes with it.When you start out, you can simply sign up for a free blog or website and after some time (if you feel like it) buy a domain name and build your own site.

However, what is the best business for retired people? This is a difficult question and there is no simple answer because every individual is different. Some people like to make their own candles and sell them for a profit on eBay while others join a business opportunity and sell information online.

Sadly, most of the “how to make money online” information online is false and by following the instructions the opportunities give you, you are not going to make one single dollar. In fact, 95% of people who ever get into online marketing fail at it miserably. And I know what I am talking about because first in 2006 (5 years after starting!) I made a profit online.I took 5 years because I followed “guru´s advice” and spend thousands of dollars on useless junk that were not even meant to work.

So, why should you believe what I say? Perhaps I am also one of those “guru´s” trying to sell you something? Well, everything on the Internet is anonymous and you simply cannot trust anyone. But when it comes to a reliable and simple business for retired people, there are practically two options.

Option number one is to go to Google and search for “internet marketing” and receive about 256 Million results and start from the beginning to learn through trial and error how to start a small business online, or option number two, learn from true and honest professionals the basics of how to start a business online and work your way up from there.By following their advice and working daily, you could have some extra income in your pocket in a few months time. This is how I started and I can honestly say it does work when you work every day through trial and error. There is help available too and the best option in my opinion is Affiliate Power Group where you learn the basics of internet marketing.

Another business for retired people would be to setup a blog and start blogging about things you enjoy and earn an income from different advertising networks.Starting a niche business is not so simple, I would definitely not get into it on my own. There are a lot of reliable information available about this business method, perhaps the best one out there is Niche Profit Classroom where you learn step-by-step everything you need.

The third business for retired people that I can recommend is to sell things you don´t need anymore on eBay.Selling on eBay is really popular and many retired people earn a nice monthly income from it.There are many things you need to know about selling things online but this is a really good way to get started without huge investments.

There is no short cut to make money online, hard work and determination is required. There are many people online selling totally useless junk and products that are “guaranteed to work”.So many people fall for these lies and fail. You should always do proper research first before making big decisions.

There are endless possibilities to making money regardless of age or even skill set. Due to the internet and the ability to market, connect, and infom people all over the world.
Home business profitability is much more easy to achieve than traditional business.

I am retired and have two Internet based businesses. One is a specific niche market but the other is a way of doing business online that supplies your website and training…. the income is residual and you build it up over time. Check out my blog at http://bigalbre.blogspot.com/2011/08/network-marketing-in-21st-century.html

Joanne I have exactly what you’re looking for, and you will see why immediately. No large investment, anyone can work the business, no MLM “rat-races” or scams, and the whole company is based on healthier, often more cost efficient, environmentally sound products. I’d love for you to give me an email so we can talk further.
