I do agree with your statement that the organic traffic is free and better than the paid one. But there is not easy to get our site on the top of SERP. Is the high Pagerank really guarantee that our site will be appear on the first page in SERP?

Hi Bachrum! High page rank is not a guarantee that your site will appear first.I have seen websites with PR 0 appear higher than a site with PR 5 for instance.

I red some article mentioned that specific page/URL have their own pagerank based on the keyword / anchor text linked to them. Maybe it is the cause of site with PR0 appear higher than the PR5. Are you agree with that? Thanks for the quick response…

I only know that Google looks at many different factors when deciding how high a site ranks and page rank is just one of them.The more you have inbound links from related sites will help.

@Bachrum
I suppose it depends how much your CPC will be. My keyword clicks range from £1 – £7 to be on the front page. This just isn’t feasible but if they were £0.05 then I would reconsider spending my time differently. Start early and update your blog often. Content is king.

I have mixed feelings about the quality of traffic coming into a site…a poorly set-up PPC campaign will result in alot of garbage irrelevant traffic, but one that is set-up with lots of negative keywords and relevant terms to bid on has resulted in very good converting traffic. For the most part my organic traffic that comes in is always ready to convert. But I say it’s good to run both because ppc is able to capture traffic that you don’t rank for in natural search

PageRank is an algorithim google invented that assesses the strength of a website. The algorithim evaluates a site on a scale of n/a to 10 with 0 being the lowest/weakest and 10 being the highest/strongest. We can check our site’s rank by using a checker pagerank tool.

Good organic traffic is also difficult to find. Those with a PR ranking (this is important) of three or more are few and far between. Barricades, I also agree with you. I think this is the biggest issue that SEO and the entire internet marketing is dealing with right now. Integrity. Not only integrity of product is under question, but the integrity of the entire business method of marketing. Time will establish guidelines and sadly more regulations.

Whether organic or PPC traffic converts best: According to my experience this depends very much on the keywords phrase in question. Long tail usually converts good both on organic as well as on PPC. But it is a lot of work to optimize for a large number of long tails, and this is where PPC comes in handy.

The first step in generating organic traffic to your website is to have enough unique content in your site. Unique content is a very attractive food for search engines. All your inner pages should be linked from the homepage. The first page a search engine is going to visit is your homepage. Once it indexes your homepage it looks for further information through these links.

For me, its better to have quality link. I prefer to use organic traffic cause it is more safer in Google. If you want your site to last, use organic process cos it is better than ppc.
