How to monetize the exit traffic of your website? As bloggers we all know how difficult it is to get a lot of highly targeted traffic, and once we get the traffic we want to get the most out of it because 95% of the visitors leave within a few seconds from landing on the site.
There are many ways you can monetize your blogs exit traffic and I will share a few of the best ones in this post.
1.Google Adsense ads
People are going to leave from your site sooner or later, why not place some Google Adsense ads on strategic places and you will get paid when people leave.
2.Opt in pop up
Another popular way to monetize your blogs exit traffic is to have an automatic pop up screen to show when people are leaving your blog. You need to make sure this offer is valuable so people will give you their name and email address. This way you can send them emails over and over again with more information and also recommendations for products.
3.Exit scripts
There are also different java based exit scripts on the market that shows a small screen every time a visitors tries to leave your blog.Personally I find these annoying.
Here is a excellent video with more tips about monetizing your blog.

I chose exit-popup because it will most likely be seen.If you have a great offer that is closely related to your blogs content there is a possibility the visitor will look into the offer.
I have noticed that a lot of sites these days, especially in the internet marketing niche, have it so that when you try to close the window it actually stops that from happening temporarily and shows a little popup that tries to convince you to stay on the site by offering you something extra. If you click cancel then you stay on the site and it often takes you to a new page, if you click ok you are normally allowed to leave the site.
I personally find these quite annoying but I am sometimes tempted to click cancel and stay on the site and once even ended up buying something (an ebook I think it was) just because of what they offered on that next page.
I chose a pop up too because although they are really annoying, they’re the only ones that the exiting visitor will really see.
I think an exit popup offering something for free in return for their name and email address. If it only takes a second to fill this in and the offer is enticing enough then the conversion rate should be ok. You might not have sold to them initially but by capturing their email address you can mail other offers to them in the future.
Actually i am stuck between two options, banners and pop up. I think a good banner will be better because pop ups can be annoying sometimes, they are suddenly all in your face especially some with so much reds. Shows too much desperation so i settle for a good size banner
I have been having a blog since many years but in the first year i was hardly getting any traffic, after a lot of effort now i am getting lots of people. But the amount of time they are on the site is very less.
