The first tip is quite obvious, choose wisely.Don´t hurry, browse around the internet and look for different options and then compare them.
When you find a suitable MLM company, do another Google search and look for more in-depth information like:
- How old the company is (How long has it been active, is it stable?) The longer the company has been active the better it is.
- Check the MLM company´s website and look for facts of the company, CEO and management, contact information.(You can contact the MLM company and ask for more information.If they are reputable they will get back to quickly.)
- What do they sell? What kind of product line do they have? (Are the products or services in demand, will someone need what they are selling?)
- The pay plan is very important.Is it reasonable? How much will you get paid for selling a product? Will you earn commissions when someone in your downline sells something? Will you get paid by PayPal or check? It is important to know how much you will get paid and when they pay you.
- Does the MLM company have training and support for their members? Reputable MLM companies offer training, support and even forums where members can discuss and help each other.
When you have joined an MLM company, the first thing you need to do is go through all the training material before you start marketing the opportunity to others or selling products.This is the part most people skip.The more you know about different marketing techniques and products, the more successful you will be with the MLM company and are able to use less used marketing techniques which will help you get results much faster because there is not so much competition.
When you get your commissions from the MLM company you need to see that you pay your income tax.It is recommended to use an accountant or an accounting software for small businesses because internet marketers can get tax deductions and write-offs which are not available for people working normal day jobs.

It is my experience that most newbies researching MLM networks skip most if not all of the tips you have provided. Especially any training documents or videos that may be available.
Most newbies seem to focus only on what they can sell and the pay plan and whether it is reasonable or not.
Understand this first: Do not forget to embrace the Law of Large Numbers before you begin any sales, marketing or MLM career!!! It describes the result of performing the same experiment a large number of times. According to the law, the average of the results obtained from a large number of trials should be close to the expected value, and will tend to become closer as more trials are performed. If you don’t understand this Law and fail to make it a priority you are doomed. Thats why people fail in sales and MLM. Money does not fall from the sky just because you set up shop online. There are no legitimate get rich quick opps. You do have to put in hours and contact 100 people per day.
I had no success with MLM. Now I am trying Internet marketing.
Make sure that the MLM Business is legitimate before doing any transactions, that’s the golden rule now… and make sure that you have all the skills (communications skills etc.) needed or else, you’ll gotta put your money and investments all to waste.
