Marketing with mini-sites seems to be very popular. You see these 1-page small sites with a big red headline, sales copy and a newsletter subscription all the time. There are a few good reasons why you should use mini-sites in your marketing.
1.Mini-sites are quick to create!
You can create a professional looking mini-site in a couple of hours. The faster you can get your product out there, the faster you can start making money from it.
2.Mini-sites are cheap to setup!
These small sites are very cost-effective because you need only a domain name, hosting and an auto responder. The mini-site itself can be generated using one of the many free software´s you can find on the internet (just search for “mini-site software”).No need to pay $500 to a web designer when you can easily do it yourself.
3.Mini-sites are focused!
Mini-sites focus on one objective, there is no other distraction. The main focus is to get the visitor to subscribe for a free newsletter, click the order button and buy your product or click on a link that takes them to the order page. The more focused the mini-site is the less confused will the visitor be.If you give the visitor only one choice, there is no distraction and you will most likely get what you want.
4.Testing is easy with mini-sites!
Headlines and sub-headlines needs to be tested so you will know which one works the best. You can also quickly test your mini-sites for SEO optimization as well because there is not so much content on these sites. All you need is a good quality sales letter, researched keywords, meta tags and descriptions. If you get these optimized, you are most likely going to rank well in the search engines.Writing the sales letter is often the hardest part because it has to convert well.It may be a good idea to have a professional writer do it for you if you are unsure.

I have set up a couple of mini sites but haven’t really spent enough time optimising them. But I can definitely see the potential in them.
I’ve have some success with mini-series, but I would add that it is important for the subscriber to be able to get all the mini-series from somewhere. Nothing irritates a potential customer more than having to wait for tomorrow, next week or even next month for the rest of the information.
Very interesting. I had always thought that making larger sites was the way to do it, but your post about mini sites has made me want to try a new approach.
Thanks for sharing this info!
I think its better to market with larger sites that actually have some depth and actually address the users problem. I feel that alot of these smaller sites are starting to lose trust and most people are recognizing them as spam.
