56 Tips For Using Facebook For Business (Plus A Cool Video)

Many, many people have Facebook accounts that they use for social purposes these days.

They can access this account on their computers and their phones and are almost always connected.

How though can you use this excellent tool for business?

Create Business Pages
The first step to take is to make a business page for yourself. Essentially, this page will have the same features as your personal one. People can write on the wall, you can post status updates and you can add pictures of the latest products you’re offering. Furthermore, you have a way to constantly stay in touch with your fans, and they will appreciate this instant communication they are able to have with the company.

Frequent Status Updates
No one is going to look at your business page if you never post anything. This does not mean you need to post multiple times per day, but you should keep people up-to-date. Many companies have a person who is solely in charge of Facebook happenings for the business. The amount of times you should update also depends upon what type of business you are. For example, bars and restaurants should generally be letting people know what is going on during the weekend, whereas a nursery school should be posting more frequently during the week and making big announcements around the holidays and at the beginning of the school year.

Advertising
Essentially, the entire Facebook page is a big advertisement for all you have to provide; however, you can also do other types of advertisements on top of that. Posting pictures of physical advertisements that are out on the streets is one way to let people know what’s going on. Of course, status updates tell people when a sale is happening or when a new product is going to come into the shop. Furthermore, Facebook will also allow you to get your advertisements out to a wider audience, but you will have to pay a fee to do so.

Addressing Complaints
People are slowly becoming aware of this important factor: If they have an issue with a business, the best way to get it resolved is to post a complaint on the company’s Facebook page. This reason is a major one why so many places have a person who is in charge of the Facebook page. Having a complaint sitting around on your page all day is simply not professional.

People will not be happy to read the complaint, and they will be even more unhappy to see that you have not resolved the issue. Therefore, when such a problem appears on the page, it is important to respond to the person and to address the issue as soon as possible. One Facebook complaint can easily turn into a huge problem.

Using Facebook for business is an excellent way to reach a huge audience. By posting one excellent status or picture, you can generate so much more new business. Remember though, part of having a Facebook page is creating a higher quality customer service system.

This topic really interest me since I have a fan page for one of our business. Based on my experience, facebook really drives traffic back to my site since many people are now relying on social media sites. Even teenagers are also engaged on this platform so it’s easy for people like us to get more visitors..But as you like mentioned above, it is necessary to update your site regularly to keep them coming back. And to add more tip, you can also add some contest or give freebies to your followers to keep them entertain.. this is really a smart option you can do.
