Taxes- This is one area where small business owners get themselves into trouble. Knowing what you can claim is essential for keeping you and your company out of hot water.
If any group of taxpayers in this country needs help, it is the small business owners. A lot of them form a small company and don’t even know what a budget is, let alone use one. With the high unemployment, more and more individuals are trying to make a buck and start up a small operation. Most don’t investigate competition or anything else before starting and fall flat on their face and end up deeper in debt. This applies to the small home business in your basement or a brick and mortar one on the corner. I see so many of them that panic at tax time and shrug their shoulders and say “I didn’t know”! Keep up the good work and get the word out quickly.
