Let´s look at how to find things to sell online.Billions of dollars worth of products are sold on eBay and other online merchants every year. Where are people getting all these items to sell?
Surely, they’ve emptied their closets and garages by now.Even if they have, finding stuff to sell online is still relatively easy.
Several sources are available for those who want to make a little or a lot of cash selling online.
Home Stuff:
Not all garages have been cleared of junk.Weekend garage sales are still popular places to find items to sell. Sales in higher income areas tend to net more quality items like designer clothes, high end furniture, and antiques. However, don’t neglect an average Joe garage sale; one never knows what unique items will be unearthed regardless of the neighborhood.Go to these sales toward the end of the day.Homeowners will be more inclined to sell you merchandise at rock bottom prices rather than having to pack up unsold items.
Look through your own garage and closets to find items to sell online. You may be harboring old clothes, books, Cds, and toys that will bring in a few bucks online. Offer to rid your friends and family of their unwanted junk by selling on consignment. You sell their stuff and keep %25 of the profits.Local retailers may also agree to let you sell their overstocks and returned merchandise on consignment as well.
Buy Online, Sell Online:
Finding stuff to sell online is as easy as buying it from the same online source. eBay is an excellent place to find everything from antiques to huge lots of merchandise that you can buy and resell at a profit.
Locate other online sources by using search terms such as wholesale liquidators, closeout dealers, and drop-ship services. These same sources can also be found in print media including the Yellow Pages and classified ads in newspapers, trade magazines, and free weeklies.
Auction Action:
Unclaimed, slightly damaged, and repossessed merchandise can be purchased at freight claims and government auctions.Check the White Pages for contact information and newspaper classified section for upcoming sales.
There’s a storage unit operation on every corner these days. The storage company auctions off the contents of unpaid rental units.Although the contents are sold sight unseen, there’s probably enough sale worthy items inside to let you break even.
Estate auctions are another great source for finding stuff to sell online.Like garage sales, high income estates yield the greatest finds, but gems can be found regardless of the estate’s net worth. These sales are advertised in the newspaper.
If you are looking to sell more expensive items online, then you can use small business loans to buy the items and then sell the items for a profit on eBay or some other online auction site.
Drop Shipping:
Drop shipping is an easy, hands off way to sell online. You send the order to the manufacturer or distributor and they ship the product to the customer. No inventory or shipping hassles to worry about.
Local Events:
Bazaars, flea markets, and festivals are good sources for everything from unique handmade crafts to valuable collectibles.Like garage sales, stop by near closing time for deep discounted deals.
Check with the local convention and visitors’ bureau to find out about upcoming trade shows that are open to the public. You’ll be able to buy from manufacturers and sale reps selling the latest products on the market.
Offshore Action:
Asia is a good source for finding stuff to sell online. However, the red tape and cost of contacting sources there can be a hassle.Your best bet is to hook up with a manufacturer’s rep who has overseas connections. There’s enough available home grown sources for locating products to sell to make this option unnecessary.

Dropshipping is a great way to make money online, but you have to find the dropshippers first! I started using professionals to help me find dropshippers, like a company called wholesale match. I started using this site to help me find dropshippers, but they also have great information on making money online through eBay and other great stuff. I seriously recommend them to anyone out there with an online business.
I have enjoyed reading this article, and have seen many others at very places online with similar suggestions. While eBay is obviously a very powerful and popular tool to use when thinking about selling online, what about some of the newer, but seemingly more flexible solutions such as putacart.com, e-junkie.com, or etsy.com. I have used putacart for a while and have been able to sell things through all the sites I have a presence (Facebook, Myspace, NIng, my blog) and I know that e-junkie.com enables the same type capabilities. What would you say the limitations are from using these types of sites to sell stuff rather than the “big kids”? Thanks!
I find the things to sell at my town local market.
If you want to find best selling clickbank product, search for cbengine!
Its all good. Really good. Thank you so much for your help. sell products online is the most valuable business resource
I sell what most people treat as junks – old letters goes to there trash cans i get them for stamps. I searched the attic for worthless items but are valuable to others. I find misspelled items on ebay like US Coiins that has no bids and sell it again. Some of us has more imagination than others. I don't consider myself one.
A great way to find things to sell for me has been flee markets and car boot sales. If you have an eye for good products you can make a tidy little profit. I make about 100 dollars a month from this.

It is possible to buy anything off of eBay, including firetrucks. The Celina fire department’s latest acquisition, a ladder truck, was an eBay purchase.

I admire your tactics to sell and to resell the same product at affordable costs whilst gaining profit too. This is the best way to make money from online deliberately in an easy manner in my view. Thanks for suggesting e-bay for our lucrative business deals by the way!
Whether it be in person, door to door or online etc. What tips and tricks can you give me for marketing a small business that offers a specific service.

I have the ideas and can afford to pay for a website monthly and have ideas for marketing and how to target clients. I may be able to get funds from family to help start but how do I go about figuring out what I will need? Have any of you started your own online business that can give me any other important tips? Im trying to think realistic, can I do it.
I use this site to find ways of making money online that are right for me and fit my needs. Because it’s hard to find a method for making money online that fits everyone’s needs. There are survey sites, paid to click sites, multi-level marketing sites, cost per action sites, affiliate commission sites and the list goes on.
The disclosures in the two links you include above clearly state that each review was compensated. In this day and age, most blog readers are clever enough to interpret the review based on this information. I bet most readers could also figure out that Similac paid for the review, regardless of how the money flowed to the bloggers.
Online shopping is on the hot dish right now and you can find a lot of different sites where you can sell and promote your products and business. You need not to worry if it sale or not because with good marketing, you will definitely be successful. Invite friends and other people to visit your online store.
There is definitely a lot of ways to sell online. I wanted to point out that micro sale sites such as Gigbowl can be a good method if you are more so aiming to sell a service versus a product.
What should I do first, apply for a business license or apply for a permit to collect sales tax? How does it work for New York State? Does an online customer pay taxes based on my county’s taxes?
I have a paper to write on the differences between marketing strategies that a media network would use to market a new TV show in Europe and in the U.
Marketing strategy is a process that can allow an organization to concentrate its limited resources on the greatest opportunities to increase sales and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. A marketing strategy should be centered around the key concept that customer satisfaction is the main goal. Yes, I think you can say this.
If you are selling your software online and taking payments through an international payment gateway like papal or authorize.net, no need to register a company in India. Just develop a web site and sell your software
Hi, great topic! I would like to express that branded clothes, gadgets and tools are some of the items that has a good volume of demand in the online market, even if they are used. I’m part of Garage Fairy’s team and we’ve been offering free pick-up of items as part of the “hassle free online selling” commitment. Which definitely worked great and that’s probably the feature most loved by people whose looking at making money from things they want to dispose.
Its really a good idea too that there are services like this online because not many people have the time to register on Ebay (for example) and go through the process of selling and answering enquiries. And I reckon that its a good call for buyers because the resale price is discounted.
