I just read an excellent blog post by Chris Brogan called No Comment where he discusses the problem of why some people are getting lots of blog comments on their posts and others get no comments at all, or very few, even though they put in the effort of writing content that is helpful and gives value.
What is the solution?
Should you:
- Write better content?
- Write more niche content?
- Check your spelling?
- Make it easier for people to comment on your blog?
- Give incentives for commenting on your blog?
- Make your self better known online by commenting on other peoples blogs?
Are you getting lots of comments on your blog posts? Leave a comment.

My blog is new so I don’t get a lot of comments yet. I’m waiting for that day wherein commenting will become a natural phenomena already in my blog.
Bryan Karls last blog post..Entrecard Screws Up Your Blog’s Bounce Rate
Hy Bryan, thanks for stopping by.You will get more blog comments when you comment on other blogs. This is how people find you.
More than anything else, a question in the end.. a request for people to say what they think about the topic in post would attract maximum comments.
All other things:
- Write better content? – of course, if you write well and engage your readers your popularity will increase and people will leave comment.
- Write more niche content? – that may or may not work
- Check your spelling? – Of course, your spelling and grammar should be accurate or you will drive your readers away before they reach end of post.
- Make it easier for people to comment on your blog? – Not really, commenting can’t be made easier than this
- Give incentives for commenting on your blog? – That’s definitely possible, you can reward them with commentluv, dofollow links, top commentator plug-in or even blogging about some of your top commentator’s websites.
- Make your self better known online by commenting on other peoples blogs? – That will work for sure. If your comments are interesting, other bloggers are inclined to give you a visit.
I’m glad to have found your post. My blog is new and i’m still trying to research getting comments.
