Content is King and should defiantly be unique
Google loves quality unique content and will give your site lots of credit for it because its what the readers and users of the internet wants. It’s probably the best and easiest way to generate lots of traffic.
I am so glad you created this post. I have a friend who has an ecommerce store and has less than 20 words on each product page. He was then going to spend hundreds of dollars for links and off page seo of his site. It took me awhile but I finally got him to understand he needed to work on his site itself and its content.
I totally agree. Try making site with recycled content and then try taking time to provide value and see which works better. When in doubt, try it out.

Tons of low quality content really does not work anymore, spend the effort building decent content and you will do well.
