How To Dominate At Social Networking
October 9, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · 9 Comments
What is the one thing we ALL need to make money on the Internet?
Traffic of course.
It doesn’t matter what your business is or what niche you are trying to make money in, if you don’t get traffic to your site, you won’t make any money.
What is one of the most effective and fastest ways to get traffic to your website?
Using Social Marketing websites!
There are millions of people everyday using Social Marketing websites like Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook, Digg, Propeller etc. If you use these sites the correct way, you can get a huge amount of traffic to your site very quickly.
You might be asking… “So what is Social Marketing anyway?”
Well, Social Marketing is sites like I mentioned earlier that are controlled and powered by the users of the site and not the owners. If the users like a specific piece of content, they will reward it by “digging” it, “propping” it or in other words, sharing it with the other members of their community.
This is the main part behind Social Media sites… if you provide great quality content that is useful and entertaining to others, your readers will want to share your content with the rest of their community. This will not only reward you with more people checking out your content but it also creates valuable back-links to your site.
On the other hand if you don’t provide great quality content, your readers won’t want to share it with their community and you will be ignored, penalized or even worse… banned!
The secret to using Social Media sites the right way is to know how to set up your profiles properly and how to use each of these different sites the way that it is intended to be used.
So how do you learn how to do all of this properly? Well, you can…
-sign up to all these accounts
-go into these communities and spend time doing what the other members are doing
-once you understand the process, get involved and then eventually submit some of your own content
But be careful, you don’t want to submit your own content too fast. You also don’t want to submit too much of your own content.
Getting to know how each of these different Social Media sites operate can really be time consuming but their is shortcut you can take to save you many hours of your valuable time.
A valuable guide called Social Traffic Explosion is packed with information delivered in 8 different videos, which shows you step-by-step:
-how easy it is to set up profiles in MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter
-the proper way to set up your MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter pages

WWW Dot Com Frauds
July 1, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · Leave a Comment
For people interested in working at home, there are several opportunities. One of the most popular things is to start an online business, because “It´s easy, all you need is a computer and internet connection” as the advertisements wants you to believe.
Starting an online business usually requires purchasing a dot com address, or you can start out on a web page offered through another site, normally for free.
Doing research on internet based opportunities is a bit tricky sometimes. When you click a link, you end up on a page where you need to fill out your email address, home address and phone number. If you are not careful, you might have joined an email spam list. You will recognize this after receiving several emails and no information about the business opportunity you thought you signed up for.Good places to do research about legitimate work at home opportunities is the Better Business Bureau and online discussion forums.
People are often targeted to stay at home and work because of all the advantages compared to a normal day job, retirees and stay at home moms are also often on the look for jobs that can be done from the house. A lot of new moms subscribe to baby and parenting magazines and, if you´ve ever looked in the back, there are numerous ads to work from home. They include phone numbers to call; when you call there´s an automated message to leave your information so that someone can get back to you. They also include web addresses; when you go to the site, there´s limited information but plenty of spaces to fill in your personal information so that someone can get back to you.
All home business opportunities are not scam, there are loads of legitimate and respectable opportunities as well. One thing is certain with every business, you need to spend money to make money. Data entry, survey taking, e mail reading all sound wonderfully easy and quick to do. For a start up fee, you will be given a membership to their dot com address and your information will be given, and sometimes sold, to other online companies. But don´t worry ,you´ll make hundreds a day! This is where research comes into play. Make sure what you´re getting into isn´t a hoax.
You also need to be aware of what is called a pyramid scheme. This is pretty easy to explain; one person starts this “business” and they call others who, for a small fee, can become employees. These people call other people who pay another small fee and then they call more people - It goes on and on. The only way to make money from the pyramid scheme is to be the originator. And these things are illegal.
There are no real services provided, so it can´t legally be called a business can it? Know what you´re getting into before providing personal information so that you can work from home.
