Answers - What Is Your Best Online Marketing Tips?
September 6, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · 2 Comments
I recently wrote an article called “What Is Your Best Online Marketing Tips?” where I asked what marketing techniques the readers of The Home Business Archive use, to get targeted traffic to their sites.
Every home business marketer does not use exactly the same methods to build traffic online. Some like blogging, article marketing while others use social bookmarking ,traffic exchanges or something else.

So, If you have written an article or blog post in the past that explains in detail how you do a certain marketing thing, please share it with the rest of us.
Thanks for the answers so far!

“Article Marketing, sure use it a lot, mostly through http://www.EzineArticles.com, which has the reputation of being one of, if not the, best. I get a fair number of referals via this route, and am fairly regularly published on readers’ sites.
One problem is the frequency with which Google (especially) changes the degree of importance it places on particular SEO aspects, and right now I gather than it’s down on duplicate content, so publishing the same article on multiple article directories is now a no-no. For the time being anyway.
Email marketing, not at present as I don’t have a big enough list. It’s on my to-do list, and am in the process of completing an e-book which will be the free give- away catalyst for opt-in. At that time I’ll also use a good auto responder, which I believe is essential.
- Social sites, I’m on StumbleUpon, Facebook, LinkedIn and Blog Catalog, but have yet to see the real value of any, as I’ve only been recently persuaded that it is a good idea (except LinkedIn which I’ve been on for a couple of years).
I think SU has great potential and am beginning to appreciate what may be the right way for me to use it, without the continually annoying “can I be your friend” from kids who may be real nice, but are not the contacts I’m after. ”

Are You Building A Residual Income?

Residual income, or passive income, is an income that keeps growing month after month after a sale has been made.

There are many different ways to earn residual income, and the best types are those to which one has exclusive rights or control of.They may be more difficult and time consuming to develop or acquire, but the rewards are often greater and the income more stable. Residual or passive income is basically income from sources other than a job.
Building an residual income can be done in several different ways. For instance, investing small amounts of money over a long period of time, the residual income will grow vastly. Using other people’s money to help leverage wealth is another way to earn residual income.Other passive income can include stocks, bonds, rental real estate, mutual funds, and businesses one does not own.
Internet marketers should in my opinion concentrate on building several residual income streams. You only need to do the job of marketing once, and the income
comes in month after month.Selling subscriptions to quality internet marketing resources and affiliate programs are the best ways in my opinion.
Many online businesses use affiliate programs as an easy way to create a sales force. If one is good at promoting a product or program to others, they may find that they are able to generate profits from a second tier sales force that they recruit. This form of residual income is also common in other businesses including selling makeup, cleaners of some sort, and insurance products.
Writing a book is one of the best methods for creating residual income, but one can also create other products such as software programs or even a physical product.
The key to a successful residual income business is keeping the business as automated as possible so once it has been set up; it does not need as much attention and the money can begin to be made.
What do you think? How many residual income streams do you have? Leave a comment.
