Buying a new computer is something every internet marketer has to do once in a while.A computer is a tool that you simply cannot live without. It does not have to be stressful buying a new computer, or too expensive. When you are doing your marketing tasks all day you will need to get as much computer for your money as possible.
Here are 3 simple ways to save money when buying a new computer.
1.First of all, do not buy from the first computer shop that comes to mind.Shop around for the best deal! This sounds obvious, but for marketing purposes you do not need all the “extras”.
If you do not know a lot about computers, take someone with you to the store who knows. Then, compare prices and features, ask a lot of questions. Also, if you are currently using an old computer, even the most basic new computer is a huge upgrade. For marketing purposes, it would probably be all you need.
2.Install the software yourself. Many computers you will find in stores have a lot of software already installed. This may sound convenient, but this often adds to the price and it is likely you will not need them. There are lots of free software on the internet you can use like free word processor (Open office), anti-virus (AVG or Avira for instance), spyware removal, adware removal, pop-up blockers and so on.
Before buying a new computer that is “fully loaded” with extras, ask your self if you really need all the extras. It is a lot cheaper to buy a basic computer with only the operating system ready installed and then install the extras your self.
3.Do not buy extended warranty.Computer retailers may offer you an extended warranty which may sound like a good idea if you are not a computer “techie”.Computers all ready come with a warranty which is often 1 or 2 years depending on the computer. Most computer problems will happen at the beginning when you still have the warranty in effect or much later when it is cheaper to buy a new computer. When it comes to computers, technology changes quickly.
Here are some additional tips for buying a new computer. Please note that these tips are up to date when the article is written.Things change very fast when it comes to computers

Great tips! I agree with the post, as Internet Marketers we should always take into consideration the condition of our computers once in a while. I am actually not into the fad, I am after quality and good battery life because I spend more than 10 hours a day in front of the computer.
thanks for the advice..i will buying a new computer soon and this tips is very helpfull..thank you
The only conceivable problem with using this type of technology is the fact that there are many different types of computer out there, and sometimes finding the right e can be a hassle. If you buy the wrong one, then you will have wasted quite a bit of money and will have nothing to show for it.
liked it!
I agree with you about extended warranty.. I as a computer enthusiast I think computer error will go show up during its first week to one month, so pon that period you may test the power of your new system.
thanks for the tips

I am planning to buy a computer next week. Thanks for the helpful tips. Not purchasing an extended warranty is a big eye opener to me, I thought it’s a good catch. This article made me realize about the fast paced technology lifestyle nowadays. Thank you.

Three really good tips here. The two that stand out for me are shop around and do not buy an extended warranty. The price difference between stores both in the high street and online is massive. The warranty extensions are just a profit making machine for the producers of the computers.
Certainly agree with the “take someone with you who knows about computers if you don’t” part. Many salesmen will try to sell you all sorts of add ons and extras that you don’t need otherwise.
Very well said. Those 3 tips/advice you give maybe have been the most common things that people take for granted. They just go to the computer store to buy without really thinking those common things you’ve listed.
I would say, buying a computer recently is a must,So we better know those 3 tips you’ve shared. To have a high-quality and lasting computer!
Thank you for sharing those tips.I’ll look forward for your future post.
the tips were well said. Very well, we need to take some one with us, atleast to evaluate our needs and order a computer. For me service is secondary, (which is not the case for many) what i would check will be a computer which doesnt need an upgrade atleast for the couple or more years.
And regarding the free software, except for the OS(many people rely on Windows) almost everything else can be open source one, right from Open office to paint.net to seamonkey/thunderbird(mail client/browser) to notepad++(powerful alternative to notepad).
I’ve been looking into buying a new computer lately and it’s been a hard decision. Do you think that getting a Mac is worth the money if I’m not going to use it for design purposes? Or should I just stick to a quicker PC?
agree!
I myself cannot imagine life without computer. I am an IT anyway.
Thanks for the great post on buying a new computer. Your post brought up a lot of interesting money saving tips that I haven’t thought about. I’m looking forward to reading a lot more of your site in the future.
Do you think that it’s better to buy online or in-store? I have been shopping around for a month now, and am hesitant to order one online, solely on the fact that I won’t see it before I get it. I don’t know if I am being paranoid or within reason.
Thank you for this! When I purchased a computer, I was confused about extended warranty, but they were pretty persistent that needed it. Hidden fees, it’s very used car salesman.
the first point would be the most important. see it too often lol.
thanks and great article. Lots of points that aren’t typically mentioned.
