Social media for business can be the same things as blogging and using Web2.0.It is free to get started and in just a few minutes you are up and running. Updating a blog with new information is also very simple because you donīt necessarily need to know any HTML or some other web language. Start writing about your favorite subject, a hobby, movies, anything you like, and then use social media for marketing your business.
When you write regularly you start to create unique content to your blog and this is something that is very important when it comes to making money with your blog. Blogging can be very profitable, some people do it for a living.Dedication and persistence is required.
When it comes to monetizing a blog there are several ways to go about it.I have concentrated on Google Adsense and affiliate programs with residual income such as SFI and Plug-In Profit. I also sell quality products that I use myself. You should not rely on just one stream of income, instead have several. What happens if the only online company you are affiliated with quits?
However, I would not earn a single cent online without marketing my blog every single day. How to market your blog successfully with social media techniques? There are many ways to go about it, and I hope to have a small discussion about the best ways to do it. (Leave a creative comment to this post and get a valuable link back to your own blog/site).This is a typical working day for me marketing my blog with social media and web2.0 techniques.
1. I get up around 6 AM and read my email while I drink a cup of coffee.Itīs the best part of the day because I will see how much money I have made and how many new affiliates have joined my programs while I was asleep.I will response to emails that people have sent me, and remove spam from my inbox.Once in a while I check my links at my blog to see that everything is working as it should.
2.I start thinking of the work ahead. What should I write about today? This can be quite tricky because it takes inspiration to write a good, unique article that is both interesting for my readers and has information that is useful. There are days when I simply canīt come up with anything. I have solved the problem by re-writing a PLR article.
Do not make the mistake of posting duplicate articles, always write your own article. The article (blog post) should also be related to subject of your blog.Iīm into online marketing, blogging and affiliate programs so I write about things related to this. This time I write about how I use web2.0 techniques.
3. Ok, article finished. Now I have to tag it properly and send it to the biggest bookmarking services and article directories.I write a slightly different version for the article directories because unique content is preferred.I also ping my last blog post with pingomatic.Done.
4. I login to my accounts at Mybloglog, Blogcatalog and Squidoo.I browse around looking at other peoples blogs and perhaps someone comes to see my blog also.I spend some time at marketing forums to see if can get some new ideas, and write a few replies if I feel that I have some important to say. This secures me a few links back to my blog as well.
Itīs about 12 AM, and Iīm done for the day.The rest of the day I can do what ever I like. This technique gives me an average of 400+ unique visitors per day, and my blog is only 4 months old (today is November 7, 2007).I know I could do a lot better if I worked all day long into the night, but you need some time for your self also.Tomorrow the same thing again. This is how I use social media for business.

There is nothing like working for yourself at home! I have been doing it most of my career and would have it no other way. I have good days (earning) and bad days, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
