How To Publish An Ezine With The Help Of Auto Responders
November 19, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · 1 Comment
Auto responders are normally set up to send automatic responses to people who are on a list, and have requested to receive information messages at certain intervals. The messages can, however, be scheduled to go out on a certain day, which has no bearing on when the subscriber was actually added to the mailing list. Every time a new subscriber opts in to your list, he or she will begin from email number 1 and receive every message you have written in the series.
Your subscribers can easily opt-in, or opt-out, and all of the distribution is handled for you, based on the schedule that you set. List maintenance can become very difficult without the automation that auto responders provide. You can write each issue of your ezine or newsletter well in advance, and have it delivered to your mailing list,no matter where you are or what you are doing. That is the beauty of automation, you do the work once and it will work for you again and again!
Depending on the auto responder service you are using, you will need something called a broadcast feature. All professional auto responder services has this feature. The broadcast feature works essentially the same as the normal auto response feature, but there is one big difference. The messages are not sent out automatically at certain intervals.
A broadcast is a one-time message that is sent out to your entire mailing list, and those who sign up on your mailing list after the broadcast has been sent will not receive it,unless they specifically request it with an auto responder address, which you must set up.
More advanced autoresponder services will usually have broadcasting features. It is easy very to publish an ezine, you can simply type your newsletter (or copy and paste it)into the editor, then choose to send the broadcast to your entire mailing list.
An autoresponder is an essential tool for any home business entrepreneur.Contacting your subscribers with offers now and then and distributing a newsletter is a really wonderful idea, and it is also very profitable.
You can easily refer to old issues of your ezine or newsletter, because all past ezine issues and auto responder messages are saved. You have also the option to use a tracking feature through each issue to see how many clicks you are getting for the various products or websites that you promote in your ezine. However, there is a down side to the tracking feature. It uses HTML to work and this can limit the amount of messages that can be delivered, so I recommend sending all your messages as plain text instead to ensure every email gets delivered.
If you are marketing online, then you must have an auto responder service. Not all services have the broadcast feature, so you need to be careful which company you choose.

How To Price Your eBay Items
November 18, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · Leave a Comment
How should you price your eBay items? Many new sellers don´t even realize that pricing needs to be done at eBay auctions.Traditional offline auctions where you just attend and start bidding is simple, but at online auctions you need to put some work into determining and setting a price for your items.
Before setting any prices on your items, find out what similar items are sold for on eBay.If it is a high ticket item or a collectible, evaluate the item to ensure you are not losing money by selling it on eBay!
At an eBay auction there are only three prices you can set.
-The “buy it now” price
-The reserve price
-The start bidding price
Of these three prices only the start bidding price is required, and the other two prices are optional.
Setting the start bidding price is quite simple.Because you need people to bid on your items you should never set the price higher than $50.It makes no difference what your item is really worth at this point.
A setting of a low start bidding price creates the need for a reserve price.A reserve price is the absolute lowest price you want to get for your auction item. You are not required to sell your item for the reserve price if you don´t want to. This means that if you set your reserve price at $190, and your highest bid is only $120,you don´t have to sell the item to the highest bidder. You have the possibility to close the auction without getting any negative feedback. It´s important to set the reserve price at the lowest price you are willing to sell your item for.
With the “buy it now” price, you set a price for which the item can be purchased immediately without bidding on it.This price option can be used for any type of item and should be set to match your reserve. If you have many identical items for sale on eBay,use this option.
Because you are selling physical items it means that they need to be shipped to the buyer.Shipping costs money and people who bid take this into consideration. If you have the possibility to offer free shipping, you will see more bids on your items.
