Selling products on the internet can be very profitable and be done almost on autopilot once you have your product sales page setup. Here is 8 useful tips of making your product sales page more successful.
1.Simple works best! Your goal is to sell a product from your sales page.Make sure the page is simple and focuses on your product or service.A page jam-packed with banners, video and audio will only distract the customer and you might lose a sale because of it.
2.Your sales page must load quickly! This can be done by skipping all the heavy graphics and photos and concentrating on text instead. You have only 3 seconds to grab the attention of your customer.Focus on writing a great sales letter.
3.Have only one item on your sales page! Nothing stops you from building a new sales page for every product you have.
4.Choose a hosting company with low downtime. You will not make any sales if no one can see your sales page. The best hosting company is called Hostgator (You can host as many pages as you want for less than $10 per month).Free hosting is unprofessional and not an option if you are doing business online.Besides hosting, you will also need a domain name for every sales page. You can get a .com domain name for less than $20 per year from GoDaddy or some other registrar.
5.Offer many different payment options on your sales page! High ticket items work best when it comes to internet marketing related products and services. It is not uncommon to sell $1,997 courses and lots of people want to pay in several installments, so make it possible for them to do so.
The easiest way to start accepting credit card payments online is to join PayPal for free and use their merchant services, and you can setup recurring payments and subscriptions simple and easy.
6.Offer free information on your sales page that is closely related to your product or service.Often this is an ebook that your visitor will receive by subscribing to your newsletter. You can also make a YouTube video that gives more in-depth information about what you have to offer. The freebies has to be of high quality and provide useful information, not just a sales pitch.
7.Setup a contact form on your sales page so people can contact you and ask for more information.Answer them in a timely fashion and use their response to make your sales page and product even better. When someone purchases your product you can ask them to send you a testimonial that you can use on your sales page to get more customers. (With their permission of course.)
8.You are offering a valuable product to your visitors, make sure the sales page is not about you.Keep your customers wants and needs in mind when you design the sales page and keep the focus on the product it self.

I would add one more to this. Never forget the KISS principal. (Keep It Simple Stupid). Apply it to your entire website. If you need a degree to understand it – it’s too complicated. Remember most people want simple. Hey look at Google, is there anything simpler than their search page!
I think simple and straight to the point is always your best plan for any successful landing page. Make sure your are giving your customers exactly what they are looking for.
Usually I use a story on my sales page, this is a good idea for more money
Great information and one other thing I’d like to add and believe me even some of the Guru’s make this mistake. “Make it easy for your customers to buy or signup” whichever is the case. Ever wanted to buy, and couldn’t find a link or a sign up form anywhere. People do forget that stuff occasionally so make that your last item to check for, before you finalize your page.
Too much choice can stifle conversions, we found on one of our sites that by stocking just one recommended and rated product in each category greatly increased the conversions.
I very much agree with keeping it simple, especially on the shopping cart process, too many sites require a complex registration, email confirmation before you can even enter a checkout process.
Keep all products within 3 clicks of the homepage, any more and people will give up.
Thanks for this important information. I will surely keep these point in mind while online marketing.
I love the option of different payment options on a sales page. It blocks every option of allowing interested buyers to leave the website. Paypal and 2checkout now offer the options where people can pay either with their credit cards or paypal.
I agree with you on the above tips to make a great product sales page. I think that sales pages should be kept simple and not overloaded with too much information like you’ve said. Sometimes I do find sales pages for big product launches in recent times to have too much irrelevant content.
Once again great post!

Good ideas! Thanks for sharing them. Keeping it simple is the best policy. Too many choices always lowers conversions.
Keep on writin’,
