I recently wrote a post titled “10 Great Reasons To Submit Articles to Directories” where I talked about why you need to do article marketing.Writing articles and submitting them works well, but first you need to come up with great article ideas. Not all articles “sell”, they have to be interesting, informative, fresh, unique, and provide answers to questions.
Here is 9 ways to get [Tag-Tec]ideas for great articles[/Tag-Tec] that get read, published on other sites and shared on social bookmarking sites.
1.You must know your target audience.
The easiest way to do this is to participate in forums, for marketing people this would mean joining The Warrior Forum, and simply browse around the forum and ask what information people are interested in.The Warrior Forum is the oldest and biggest marketing related forum online with tens of thousands of members.

Thank you so much for the ideas for articles as I do find it hard to write content as the ideas seem to dry up.
I will take on board the No5 tip especially as I do think that Amazon is so smart and do know what is selling well.

Hi article marketing is still a fantastic way to drive visitors to a site. Writing articles is not as difficult as you think as long as you keep a notepad with you at all times. Also don’t forget your old articles which can be re written after a period of time as things change.
Sometimes writing articles can be difficult so thanks for the tips. My favorite is one of the one’s you mentioned which is looking at other blogs in your field, this always spins off dozens of ideas for me.
Cool list. I would add in some of the web 2.0 sites like squidoo you can often find lots of great ideas there. Sometimes one lens can give me 3 or 4 ideas. Goog tip regarding the warrior forum as well.
I’ve never thought of using Amazon so I will check that out. Personally I use the article directories like ezine articles or do a good old fashioned Google search on a topic. After half an hour I usually have the idea for half a dozen articles.
