Buying a new computer is something every internet marketer has to do once in a while.A computer is a tool that you simply cannot live without. It does not have to be stressful [Tag-Tec]buying a new computer[/Tag-Tec], or too expensive. When you are doing your marketing tasks all day you will need to get as much computer for your money as possible.
Here are 3 simple ways to save money when buying a new computer.
1.First of all, do not buy from the first computer shop that comes to mind.Shop around for the best deal! This sounds obvious, but for marketing purposes you do not need all the “extras”.
If you do not know a lot about computers, take someone with you to the store who knows. Then, compare prices and features, ask a lot of questions. Also, if you are currently using an old computer, even the most basic new computer is a huge upgrade. For marketing purposes, it would probably be all you need.
2.Install the software yourself. Many computers you will find in stores have a lot of software already installed. This may sound convenient, but this often adds to the price and it is likely you will not need them. There are lots of free software on the internet you can use like free word processor (Open office), anti-virus (AVG or Avira for instance), spyware removal, adware removal, pop-up blockers and so on.
Before buying a new computer that is “fully loaded” with extras, ask your self if you really need all the extras. It is a lot cheaper to buy a basic computer with only the operating system ready installed and then install the extras your self.
3.Do not buy extended warranty.Computer retailers may offer you an extended warranty which may sound like a good idea if you are not a computer “techie”.Computers all ready come with a warranty which is often 1 or 2 years depending on the computer. Most computer problems will happen at the beginning when you still have the warranty in effect or much later when it is cheaper to buy a new computer. When it comes to computers, technology changes quickly.

Three really good tips here. The two that stand out for me are shop around and do not buy an extended warranty. The price difference between stores both in the high street and online is massive. The warranty extensions are just a profit making machine for the producers of the computers.
Certainly agree with the “take someone with you who knows about computers if you don’t” part. Many salesmen will try to sell you all sorts of add ons and extras that you don’t need otherwise.
