Twitter is a great micro blogging site.Many people use the allowed 140 characters to answer the question “What´s happening”, but Twitter is a great education tool as well.These bloggers have written great information about the topic.

I don’t use twitter that much because I don’t really get it. But I guess you can use it like if you want to send aa group message about where to meet up, you can just tweet your friends.

I took up an advertising course last year and our lecturer urge us all to sign up for Twitter. He’s a Twitter freak and he uses Twitter to update us on cool ads and also…class cancellations

Actually this is a really good idea – but I am not sure if the teacher-student gap can be crossed so easily. Youngsters view twitter as recreational, an escape from the liner environment of the school. Perhaps they would resent teachers and other authority figures encroaching on “their” territory. It’s certainly up for debate.
