2. Do not over load the text.
It may be tempting to put a whole paragraph of text in your sig file with smilies and emoticons.You may think your sig file looks cute, but when someone is forced to read through it, it stops to be cute.Personally, If I got an email with with a 500 word sig file, I would just delete the email without reading it.
3. Do not just hyperlink:
If you want to link to your blog in your sig-file, don´t just put a hyperlink saying “Click here”.Email programs are different so your link may show up as something else.Instead, keep your blog address readable by putting the entire URL in the file.
4. Do not use fancy colors:
You should also avoid using colors in your text, email sig files work best when they are simple.There is no need to make your sig file appealing and nice to look at.Simple black text works the best.
5. Do not make it complicated:
Stay with a maximum of 3 lines of text, and keep it compact.All it needs is your name, your email address and your blogs address.The marketing is done on the blog, the sig file is just a way to get people to your blog.
