On the internet, you make an impression by leaving comments on blogs. If you know how to leave comments on blogs the right way, you can drive a lot of traffic to your blog and increase your readership all at the same time.Let´s take a look at 7 tips to leave comments on blogs.
1.Choose the sites you leave comments on!
You cannot just comment on any blog just because you need to drive traffic to your own blog. You must choose blogs that are related to your own blog, if you are an internet marketer you need to choose blogs that talk about internet marketing.Comments that are well-crafted will help build the buzz about your blog.If you need to comment on a completely irrelevant blog, do so only in your spare time.Otherwise, you need to focus on productive things.
2.You must know what you are saying!
The goal with blog commenting is to drive traffic to your blog, to achieve this you must know what you are saying.Comments like “good post” or “great tips” will not do you any good.Write comments that are useful and helpful and adds to the discussion. This way you will be noticed and respected for your opinions.
3.Avoid strong language!
There are ways to get your point across, without using strong language.Majority of blogs impose certain regulations about using strong language and blog comments containing bad words will not be accepted. It´s good to remember that once you have posted a comment on someone else´s blog, there is no way to get it back.
4.Have a sense of humor!
If people leave comments on your post that seem to insult you or argue with you, don’t fight back without thinking.People have the right to their own opinion.Firing back with the same kind of idiotic language will not be a good reflection on you, it will make you look bad.If you must defend your stand, do so with class.
5.Be calm!
If you are going to drive traffic to your own blog by leaving comments on other blogs, you must calm down and be professional. You cannot LEAVE COMMENTS LIKE THIS ONE!!!!! It is unprofessional and desperate to leave comments written only in capitalized letters, this makes people stay away and that is not what you want.
6.Check your replies!
A good way to build buzz and network with other bloggers is to regularly check back on blogs you left comments on and see if there are any replies. If there are, answer them!
7.Check your facts!
Before commenting on a blog, make sure you know what you are talking about. If you are unsure about something, check it out on Google and comment after that.It is so easy to check your facts, there is no need to tarnish your reputation with half-truths and statements.

This was a great read! I think you give some to gain some. Although this may be tedious, it is a great way to promote yourself. Thanks!

great post.
I agree that you need to make valuable comments that actually add value. Commenting and just saying ‘thanks’or ‘great post’will not really help and will maybe even be considered as spam by the webmaster.
Nice tips

Tom,
Expanding on points #1 and #6, if you find a blog that is relevant to your’s then don’t just do a comment drive by. I make it a rule to comment on 2 to 3 posts on my first visit. Any more than that will most likely appear as spam.
You can’t really develop credibility on another blog by leaving a single post. Most sites have some sort of comment moderation, so I want the blogger to know what type of comments I will leave. It also shows them I am interested in their blog, and it gives them an incentive to answer my comments.
Then, as you pointed out, stop back by and check for responses. I have a rule of thumb that if my comments are not replied to within a week I just move on to another blog. I only have so many blogs that I can visit and add value to each week, and I am interested in community as well as building my reputation.
What do you think? Is that an unrealistic expectation?
