Look Out For Data Entry Job Scams

Data entry jobs are a scam according to many people.Would someone really pay $30 per hour for typing in some information on your computer and sending it off? To get started, all you have to do is pay a fee. This fee can be anything from $20 to $200 just to join the data entry job.Would you pay someone to get the “privilege” to to work for them? It sounds really suspicious to me.For a job like data entry, you should never have to pay for the privilege of working.Never.According to jobsearch.about.com, data entry is one of the biggest scams out there.
Here´s how a data entry scam works:
The worker sends a fee for the necessary “training material” and software required. Then the worker gets an email with instructions of how to send the same ad you just responded to out to other people.Has the scammer turned you into a spammer? Yes. You are off course getting a full money-back guarantee, but you can be quite sure that you will never see the money.
A data entry job is supposed to be all about typing data, but in reality they have very little to do with this. Instead, many are affiliate marketers trying to get more money from other people duped into believing they are “applying” for data entry positions.
Here´s what a “typical” data entry site claims:
“Earn $5,000 per month part time! Work whenever you feel like it.All you have to do is join our exclusive membership for $100.”
The data entry job websites are well thought out and designed to seduce intelligent people into dreams of easy money.Seeing claims of making thousands a month can be very intoxicating. The “testimonials” on the pages are there to make the whole thing more believable.
It´s good to know that there are legitimate data entry jobs as well.It is sometimes difficult to know the difference between someone who is just looking to find someone to market their product for free and a real legitimate job.
Don´t get scammed out of your hard earned money, look at these things before joining:
1.If the company is requiring a start up fee.If they are, stay away.Too many people have sent their money to something they thought was the key to a better life. All they got was a bunch of useless information and lost their money.
2.If the company is telling you to “invest” a small amount to receive money-making software that will help you set up your own data entry company? If the company is legitimate, it would never require you to buy anything on your own expense so you can work for them.Think about it.If you work as a chef at a restaurant, would your employer require you to buy all the plates, silverware, pots and pans and everything else so you can do your job? I don´t think so.
3.Is the company legitimate? Head over to bbb.org, which is the website address of Better Business Bureau, or type in the company´s name in Google and see what comes up.While you are at it, search for forums and communities discussing these things and participate in the discussions to learn more.
