How To Become More Creative

Writing good content is a lot more than just writing down words on a piece of paper. You have to capture the interest of your readers and pique their curiosity to keep them reading. To achieve this you need to be creative. Creativity may come natural to lots of people like the worlds best copywriters, but some people get the so called “writer´s block” that involves temporary loss of ability to begin and continue writing, and this is usually due to lack of creativity. Many writers have literally torn their hair out when they get writers block and just can’t seem to get their creative juices flowing.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art.A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.

How to become more creative? What to do when nothing comes to mind and you have to write a blog post today? Unfortunately, there are no fool-proof ways to get perfect ideas but there are some easy ways you can use to become more creative.

1.Always keep a journal or a diary with you.You can get good ideas from anything you see, hear or smell.Ideas and creativity can come from anywhere, write down all the ideas for future reference.

2.Take it easy and relax for a while. If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused. It takes a clear mind to become more creative.Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings.

3.Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness.Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, objects that inspire,or anything that can get your creativeness cranking.A clean and well organized workplace also rids of distractions and unwanted hindrances. With a good working place, you can work in peace and never notice the time pass by.If you run an internet based home business from your laptop, just grab your laptop and go to the nearby Café or the beach, the library, the park…

4.Setting the right mood. There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to use alcohol,a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some would like some mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood.

5.Go on a getaway and forget about writing for a few days.I know it is important to come up with excellent content regularly, but if you have the “writer´s block” you cannot do that anyway.Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline that can make your imagination go wild.In no time at all, your creativeness will make use of that experience and get your imagination to go on overdrive.

Yeh, many writers often produce mediocre work because they are dealing with unrealistic deadlines and end up writing about topics that they are not excited about. This results in lack luster articles that no one enjoys reading. Good tips.

I think it best to miss a day of posting rather than to post something of poor quality just because you think you had to. The worst thing you can do is stare at the screen waiting for inspiration. I usually walk away and find something else to do that will take my mind off it. I usually find that while I am in the middle of doing something else I something miraculously comes to me. In a way I am enforcing #5, but I would like to say that all you points are very valid.

Hi Sire, thanks for stopping by.Becoming more creative is a problem for many bloggers, it is just so hard sometimes to come up with interesting and useful content.

That is so true and it is even harder for those who take on niche blogging, which is why I have not taken that avenue.

You know though, when you are amongst people there are times when you don’t think you have anything useful to say and so you just sit there, when perhaps that very thought lying in the back of your mind could be all that is needed to spark up the conversation. I think it is the same for bloggers. I know that in a public situation I am that guy who just sits there, unless I am among friends, but as a blogger I can just come out and say what is on my mind, and strangely enough it doesn’t come out all that bad once I see it written in front of me.

Thanks for these. It does help to read through tips like these especially when I also do suffer from ‘writer’s block’ every now and then.

I have to say that writing all of your ideas down in a diary is one of the best things you can do. Your best ideas tend to come when you are not thinking about what to write. When they do pop into your head you want to write them down asap and bullet points in a diary is one of the best ways. Then just refer back to them when you are writing content.

I do this for my blog and it works a treat. Great post.

Wonderful piece of article, Tom. I admit I’m not the creative part but usually when I’m down with ideas, I’d open my RSS reader and keep reading till the ideas flow right into my mind. It’s also good to identify which is the best time to write. For me, morning is the perfect time when my mind perform its best.
