Starting A Customer Loyalty Program
November 30, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom · Leave a Comment
A customer loyalty program is often started when a business is established and has a group of customers who make purchases often, like in super markets for instance where you get discounts when you purchase often.
For a internet based home business,a customer loyalty program can be a very good idea as well if you are selling advertising space, monthly subscriptions, ezine ads and so on.
By giving back to customers who purchase on your site often is a way to maintain their business and increase sales from new customers or those who don’t shop on your site on a regular basis. The goal of having a customer loyalty program is to get more people to
your site.
You will need to come up with a suitable reward for your customer loyalty program, make it known to everyone who visits your site, and keep your promise when a customer is deserving of a special reward. This will help increase sales and build your reputation. The reward does not have to be high, sometimes a small token is enough to generate more business.
A special reward could be:
- A discount for advertising space on your site.
- A free ad in your newsletter.
- Discount coupons that can be redeemed.
- Free information.
Chances are customers who receive these offers will visit your site and purchase additional items, but also tell their friends and contacts about you.
When you make the decision of starting your own customer loyalty program, decide what you want to
offer and when you start offering the rewards.Advertise your customer loyalty program on your website and to your email list.By spreading the word your customers will know that they are valued and are eligible to participate in the program.
You must track customer orders once you have started your program.Placing numbers on coupons, keeping close records on customer orders, and putting a time limit on when coupons and other certificates can be redeemed are all ways for you to track the success of your program and to ensure that customers receive what they deserve.
Start tracking it to see how many people are taking advantage of it.You may need to make adjustments as to what you are offering, how often, and to which customers.
Customer loyalty programs are more effective if they are easy to understand, so make the rules of your program as simple as possible.Set exact amounts of what is needed to qualify in your program.
I recommend setting up a different email address for your loyalty program, it is easier for you to deal with customer service.

A guest post should be a “master piece”, an article that you are truly proud of.It is an article that makes you an expert in your field in the eyes of the readers.
What is a good guest post?
First of all, look at the topic of the blog.If it is about home business marketing tips, then you need to write about that. The more niche, the better.Seasoned bloggers look for articles that address a certain small area of a niche. If you can provide that kind of material, fantastic!
A guest post is written exclusively for one blog, you cannot submit the same guest post to someone else.Bloggers are looking for unique content.
What do I get for writing a guest post?
Good question.Well, there is excellent incentives for the writer of the guest post.Even though you will not be paid any money, you will get links (do follow links) back to your site. You will be seen as an expert in your area, your traffic will increase, when more people see your article the more people are going to link to it.Most important of all, you will be networking with other bloggers and that can not be measured in cold hard cash!

Should You Pay For Website Traffic Or Not?

Is it a smart move to pay for website traffic, or should you rely on traffic that comes from your own advertising efforts over time?
Every business needs customers, without them you would not have anyone to sell your products or services to.In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people you would be able to sell your products to.
If you are looking to get quick results with minimal effort on your part, probably the best way to achieve this would be to use PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising. However, the problem with this strategy is that once you stop paying for clicks, your traffic also stops.
If you are not paying for traffic with money, you are going to pay for it with time you put into advertising your site. The best way for free traffic is to use articles. This is clearly a long term strategy that produces results over time.
The question is: Are you paying for your traffic to get quick results, or do you use free advertising methods that generate long term results? Leave a comment.
