Where Is Your Traffic Coming From?
September 11, 2008 by Tom Lindstrom
If you are running a business on the internet, it is essential to know from where your traffic is coming from, what search phrase or keywords visitors use to find your site, and what people click on when they arrive on your site. This will help you write the kind
of content people are looking for, and it will also help you monetize your site better so you can earn more money.
Your web hosting company provides you with statistics information and the number of visits to your site but this is not enough anymore.Graphs like this doesn´t say to much, to me anyway.

There are two excellent (and free) services that I use to get the statistics that I can use to determine what kind of content my visitors are reading on my site and how they find my site. This is the kind of information I need so I know where to advertise and how to develop my site to better serve my visitors (monetizing, offers, design of the site and so on).
The services are:
MyBlogLog.com - Shows statistics like from where readers came from, what they viewed and what they clicked on.Read more about MyBlogLog.
StatCounter.com - Provides real-time detailed stats, statistics like entry pages, exit pages, recent keyword analysis, recent came from, visitor paths, visit lengths and recent page load activities.

Hi Tom,
I use MyBlogLog and statcounter, but i prefer using feedjit which i think involves your visitors attention more. I presume MyBlogLog has a premium upgrade to reveal better stats.
Of course i also use Google Analytics which is very precise and revealing. This has to be a big part of your bulding process especially at the start of your online adventures.
pop over to MyBlogLog and say hello
Hi Bill, thanks for stopping by.MyBlogLog has a premium upgrade for $25 per year, I purchased it and I think you get value for your investment.I use Google Analytics as well, but Statcounter is my “main source” of statistics.
I use Google Analytics free tool but I’m considering to also start using Startcounter.com. What I’m not sure about is if you can be able to use both without running into any problems.
You know it’s really amazing what you can learn when you are looking into and analyzing your traffic sources and how your visitors interact with your site.
