I agree. I think commenting is an excellent marketing strategy. Encouraging comments and conversation and building a community on your own blog is equally important.
I love comments, but I have to say I’m not too keen on keyword rich business or product names on my site. Your advice to see what is the norm for each specific blog is a good approach.
Hi Yvonne, I´m not too picky.People can post with a real name or pen name as long the comment is relevant. You have to draw the line somewhere.
Might as well spend the extra 60 seconds and write a worth while comment that will last forever.
Hi, I’m Isaac Yassar and I help people reach success in self development, business, and blogging for free. Well, Tom, I simply agree with your post, but I want to add a little thing if you don’t mind: in commenting, you need “STYLE”. You need to be unique and distinctive but still relevant and intelligent. I’m sure you notice that my commenting pattern are a bit “different” than everyone else, it’s possible for you to approve or reject this. But it’s impossible for you not to admit that I got my own “style” that enables me to stand out of the crowd. Either considered positive, or negative. What do you think?
Hi Isaac, thanks for commenting.Style is really important in commenting, it adds a personal touch to it which is important.By writing useful comments in your own unique way, people are interested to learn more about what you have to say and click through to your site.
