Traffic Exchanges - How To Use Them Correctly?
September 14, 2007 by Tom Lindstrom
Manual traffic exchanges work with the principle that I view your website, and you view my website. You get advertising credits for surfing, and the more you surf the more visits you will get to your website. After you have viewed another members offer for 20 seconds you click your way to the next website when the timer has gone to zero.
Traffic exchanges are a popular way to market your website online. Some people say that it is a complete waste of time, but the trick is to use them correctly. There are over 150 manual traffic exchanges at the moment (September 2007).
Getting traffic is a lot more than just adding your affiliate link and start clicking. You need to be creative in order to get any results. This is how I make the exchanges work for me.If you are promoting a well known affiliate program avoid using the same affiliate page as everybody else, this will only waste your credits and probably you will not get any sign ups at all.
It is absolutely vital that you stand out from the rest.Use a opt-in page with a form to collect the visitors name and email address. The page must load fast as you only have a few seconds to get your page seen.Make sure the page has a catchy headline that grabs the attention.
Give your visitors a good reason to give their email address, offer something for free for taking action right away. A branded e-book, a special report about a interesting subject, or a download are usually working really well. This way you can build your opt-in list and send your subscribers useful information like newsletters, e-courses, e-books and special offers. I use traffic exchanges to build my opt-in list, and you should too.
You must be consistent, have dedication, be focused, be determined, have persistence and keep to the daily schedule. These are vital keys to using the manual traffic exchanges successfully to build your list and your business.
I have tried many traffic exchanges, but there are really only two exchanges that constantly deliver the kind of results that actually make a difference.
I recommend signing up for Trafficswarm and Webbizinsider.
