Using Forums To Generate Traffic To Your Home Business Site

ADVERTISEMENTS

by Tom

To earn money online you need a lot of traffic and marketing forums is an excellent tool of generating traffic to your home business site. The internet is full of forums, but you should join forums that are in the same niche of business as you are.

If your business niche is online marketing, good forums to join are Conquer Your Niche and Warrior Forum. These are forums that the truly successful internet marketing affiliates have joined and participate actively in the discussions. You can learn a lot from these forums, this is why it is so important to join.

When it comes to using these forums to generate traffic to your home business website, you need to understand that blatant advertising is forbidden and you can be banned from the forum for doing so.The marketing part comes from the sig-file, or signature file that you create when joining the forum. In the sig-file you can have links pointing to your website or different opportunities you have joined.Be sure to read the guidelines of each forum you join, because the rules are a bit different.

You will start generating traffic to your website when you participate in the discussions in the forums, and the more you post the better are the chances that people will click through to your website.Remember to post only when you have something to contribute. This will build up your credibility among the other members.

If you post useless posts like “hello” or “thanks” or something that does not contribute to the discussion in any way, chances are that the other members will not visit your site, and you will not receive any traffic to your site.

Join a marketing forum and participate in the discussions daily, ask questions and help others when possible. Search engines will also crawl the forums and you will receive valuable links pointing back to your website.Take this as a daily marketing routine and before you know it you will see targeted traffic coming to your website and this can end up in some sales of products or sign ups for your newsletter.

When I have started my work at home online I used to write that: “hello”, “thanks”, etc.

I think it is the start for many people. However, you are right. Posting comments on forums bring us some good traffic. The experience of posting is good to develop and increase your ability on writing.

“Hello and Thanks”… seems appropriate for newbies like myself to the blogging world.

I’m hoping with time and experience, most of us will shed the fear of joining and participation.

Thanks for the info ;)

@ Wolney and Danny

Thanks for commenting! I posted meaningless comments in the beginning too but realized that forums are for communicating with other members, not just marketing your site. When you post valuable replies people will respect you and click through to your site to learn more about you.

Part of the issue of achievement is to be able to set realistic goals, but that is one of the hardest things to do because you do not always know exactly where you are going, and you should not.

Never underestimate the power of the internet. An increasing number of people use the internet
to search for a business or service so having a web presence is an important media for promoting
your company. Web design is a real skill and if your website is to not only look good but work well,
it should be constructed by a professional web designer.

Forums can be a great traffic driving resource due to their varied relevance to a number of different subjects – these can be found via the more long-tail unique searches etc…
