Why Should You Use Social Bookmarking?

If you are an internet marketer and write articles regularly to promote your business and products to earn an income, social bookmarking is one of the most effective ways to get seen online.
The reason for submitting your content to social bookmarking sites is because you will get back links from them.Back links will drive traffic to your site with time, as one way back links to the pages of a domain give authority in search engines, so this is a long term strategy of building traffic.
A strategy of building links to your site is by bookmarking your content in social bookmarking sites that do not use the “no follow” -tag.If you post a comment on a blog, your link will not be followed by the search engines to create a back link to your site if this tag “no follow” is used. This is a way to prevent comment spamming.Spam comments will not get through anyway in Wordpress blogs because of the akismet plugin and by manually approving comments. Personally, no spam comment has ever made it all the way to my blog.
Fortunately, the “no follow” tag can be disabled quite easily in Wordpress, and other blogging platforms too. People that make a good and useful comment deserve to get a backlink to their site in my opinion. If you want to get back links from social bookmarking you need to use the sites that use “do follow”, and unfortunately all the big social sites use “no follow”.
The big sites will still be useful to you, don´t skip them. You need to participate in them, vote on stories, and make comments. This will bring traffic to your site because you will have your URL visible in your profile. It takes time to build strong visibility.Just by logging in daily and voting and commenting on a few stories will make a huge difference in a few months time. So, joining Digg and participating actively will increase your traffic.
Here is a short list of social bookmarking sites that are using “do follow”.Submit your content to these sites for back links. There are lots of smaller social sites that gives a back link, just make a quick search on Google.

This is a very useful article I’ve been writing some posts at Mailboxmoney on getting traffic using backlinks. It’s good to know about the no follow and follow tags as this means saving time bookmarking. I am a member of 3 of the sites you mentioned and also others which I am beginning to use quite often. I’ve done a post linking to this article Thanks for the info
