Good tips indeed. If you have big list of feed subscribers then it is crucial to follow these steps because you will be loosing a lot of money. Most of rss subscribers very rarely visit you blog pages, so it essential to try monetize them in some other way. Luckily there are even some plug ins that can help you in that job.

A great subtle way of doing this (if you use Wordpress) is to use the Ozh Better Feed plugin. With this you can configure the feed from your admin area and add links back to your site, blog, sales page – wherever you choose. The links are then automatically added in the footer of every RSS feed.

I use it to provide a download link as a “thank you” for subscribing.
